A Brief Look At Walt Disney World (WDW)

Article by Joseph Rockport

The official title is The Walt Disney World Resort. It is often referred to as Walt Disney World or Disney World or even WDW, and it is the world’s biggest and most popular recreational destination. The park is located around twenty-one miles southwest of Orlando, Florida and it is over thirty thousand acres in expanse. The resort has four different theme parks, two water parks, twenty-three different on site themed hotels (not to mention eight more that are on site but not officially owned by Walt Disney). Additionally, the resort has a campground, two health spas and fitness centers, and even more recreational activities and entertainment destinations. Walt Disney World opened on October 1st, 1971 with the first theme park, the Magic Kingdom. Later, Epcot center (October 1, 1982), Disney’s Hollywood Studious (May 1, 1989), and Disney’s Animal Kingdom (April 22, 1998) were added. The motivation for the gorgeous resort came from the genius mind of Walt Disney and the original Disneyland in Southern California. The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is very close to Disneyland in layout and content. However, Disney World is different in that it provides a much larger assortment of activity and beckons for a stay surpassing the usual one-day Disneyland escapade. For example, the two water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach) can be a full day activity on their own. Further, Downtown Disney, Disney’s BoardWalk, Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and Walt Disney World Speedway (Including the “Richard Petty Driving Experience) offer a huge assortment of amusement to visitors. The resort widens its scope even further with five unique golf courses. These include the 18-hole Palm, the Magnolia, Lake Buena Vista, and Osprey Ridge. There also exists “Oak Trail, a nine-hole track designed with youth golfers in mind. One can also go catch-and-release fishing on one of Walt Disney World’s lakes or cane-pole fishing from the docks located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. Not to mention, the Disneyworld guest can also rent watercraft, bikes, and go on firework cruises. The deluxe resorts at Disney World include: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. For slightly less money, check out Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter, or Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. Finally, for ultimate value, the resort offers Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, and the upcoming Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. This article has only skimmed the surface of the rich, colorful, and truly magical destination that is The Walt Disney World Resort. One could argue that it offers the largest and most varied experience of any resort in the world. It is obviously unique and must visit for any family or Disney fan. One might have to spend a lifetime to experience every aspect of this resort, but it is guaranteed that even a few days at WDW will leave you feeling magical.

Disneyland secrets – Learn how to get inside Disney land or Disney World FREE or discount tickets

Article by Disney Guru

Disneyland Resort now consists of two major parks: Disneyland Park and Disneyland’s California Adventure. Downtown Disney, a vivid boardwalk is located adjacent to the theme parks littered with boutique shops and gourmet restaurants for a casual experience. Three resort hotel properties are within walking distance from each venue for convenience. Disneyland is located in Anaheim just off the 5 freeway and is about 30 miles from Los Angeles.

****************Here is a way you can get in for FREE!!!!!

Besides catching a guest on his/ her way out and asking them if you can have their ticket for FREE, you can get one from a cast member! That’s right, each full time cast member (employee of the park) is allowed to give away a few passes a day!

I no longer work full time, only part time, so PLEASE don’t email me and ask me. But if you are lucky, you can catch an employee outside of the gates (trash collectors, etc) and ask them if they would be willing to give you their pass for the day. I think it is only fair to offer them money, but that is up to you. I found the best method to be when someone asked me for my free tickets was to give them one FREE if they would give me something for another one, like . These tickets have ZERO value and you CANNOT trade them in for an upgraded ticket. Please keep in mind that we are NOT supposed to be giving away our tickets once we are on the clock, if you happen to catch someone willing to do it make it quick and have your cash on hand. If you already have at least one valid ticket, You can also go into the park and try to find someone who will give you their free passes while your family waits outside of the gates.

Based on the range of activities and the wide spectrum of ages found at the resort, it is safe to say that there is something for everyone. Young children tend to gravitate toward the Disney theme rides and characters. Roller coasters and water parks are likely to entertain older children and teenagers.

Your stay at Disney World Resort may be a family vacation, yet couples like to enjoy and deserve some entertainment as well. Disney World Autograph Books Are More Magical When You Make Them Yourself

Article by Disney Fan

A Disney Autograph Book is important if you are travelling to Walt Disney World on holiday. Disney characters are synonymous with the theme parks and you will have lots of opportunities to approach with your favourite character and ask them for their autograph. You can wait until you arrive at the theme park to obtain your Disney World autograph book, but there aren’t too many to choose from and while the covers look exciting the pages inside are just plain white. What’s wrong with plain white pages I hear you say – well they’re a bit dull and humdrum aren’t they? Imagine for a moment that you’re a Disney character… you spend hours each day on your feet having to beam and look delighted for endless lines of children and grown ups. And everytime somebody hands you a Disney World autograph book to sign it just has a plain, boring, white page inside. Now pretend that you open the book and the pages are all decorated, and even better that the page you are signing is about you! Perhaps it has your picture on it, or photos of your friends from the movie you appeared in. It might have your favourite quote from the film, or even the words from the song that you sing. If you opened a book like that wouldn’t it make your day? Wouldn’t you be more inclined to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on the kid that handed it to you?The first time I collected Disney character autographs I was 29 years old. Before my trip I spent weeks finding out which Disney characters appeared in the various parks and I made each of them their own unique page in my Disney World autograph book. I used their pictures, and quotes from their films. When I got to the front of the line to meet the characters and gave them my Disney autograph book they all loved it! Flik cowered behind his hands and ran away when I showed him the picture of Hopper on his page. Woody stole my husband’s Groom ears and tried to run away with me as his new bride. Mickey clapped his hands in delight. All this extra interaction} came because I made an effort with my Disney World Autograph Book. So if you have some time before your vacation, start thinking about how you can make a personalised Disney World autograph book to take with you. And if time is short, or you just need some ideas, then you can click on the link to get a free copy of the Disney Autograph Book that I made for my trip!
